First-year year officials only work JV games and will be paired with a top official who will continue training before, during and after scheduled games.
New officials are also encouraged but not required to stay and observe the varsity games.

Men's officials are rated starting their second year.

Dues and fees are waived for any official who works the Jamboree (an unpaid event), which is required of all officials.
